Whilst the release of their eponymous debut introduced the band to the world, it was with their second album Paranoid that Sabbath redefined the style and sound of a genre, and made one of the greatest rock records ever produced in the process. But following Ozzy Osbourne’s sacking in 1979, the group lost their momentum, while Ozzy as a solo artist became one of the world’s biggest stars.
