One More Chance is a book about my spiritual journey with the Lord Jesus Christ. It all started when one of my classmates gave me a photo of a Jesus look-alike with a simple prayer booklet of the Christian faith. We were just twelve years old then, but a few of my classmates loved to talk about Jesus. I wonder why they talked about him so much. What was so special about Him? My heart was overjoyed when I received those things related to the Christian faith; it seemed like I had found a great treasure in my life. At that time, whenever I saw butterflies passing by, my heart felt so happy and joyful, as if the Lord Jesus was sending His angel to escort me. I was truly falling in love with Jesus. After I came to know Him, I felt different about myself; it was a simple introduction to my love for Jesus.
My mistake was that, as I grew up, I focused more on worldly things than on the Lord Jesus, and that was the starting point of my downfall. At that time, my life was empty and meaningless. My heart kept looking for everything else but not Jesus. I have no idea how I could have forgotten my first love like that and looked for things that weren?t certain. I didn?t know the true meaning of baptism with water then either. I did attend Catechism class at my dad?s house, taught by one of the Church?s brothers, but I overlooked these matters. I took it so lightly back then. But now, I clearly understand that once I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my old man had died in Christ, and now I am a new man in Christ Jesus.
